A few PASS Summit’s ago, I became interested in the information available in the Plan Cache. As part of that interest, I started digging into the plan cache to find out what is there and available to be pulled out.
Some of those investigations led to a few presentations; which have in turn led to this blog series. Rather than number these out and put a timeframe around them, I’ve instead opted to post here are there when I have new plan cache queries and to publish information from my presentations.
The posts in this series to date are:
- The Plan Cache
- Parallelism in the Plan Cache
- Missing Indexes
- SHOWPLAN XML Structure
- StmtUseDb Element
- StmtCond Element
- StmtCursor and StmtReceive Elements
- StmtSimple Element
- Find Estimated RowCounts
- Find Estimated Cost
- Researching Index Scans
As more posts are published, I’ll add them to this list. Enjoy digging into your plan cache.
