Over the past year there have been a number of SQL Saturday events. These events have occurred across the country from Orlando to San Diego to Minnesota. At many of these events there are shirts given away to speakers and/or the attendees.
I was thinking about this and wondering what I should wear at the PASS Summit and a thought crossed my mind:
It appears to have been a good idea, since we had some of the following comments after the idea (not the whole conversation, but some highlights)
“Wear Your SQL Saturday Shirt Day”
If you have a SQL Saturday shirt from being either an attendee or a speaker, then please wear it to the PASS Summit on Tuesday. Let’s celebrate the success and help get out the word on SQL Saturday events. The hope is that people will see the shirts and want to attend or become involved in planning their own SQL Saturday event.
Also, if you have left over SQL Saturday shirts, bring them to the summit and hand them out. That was an idea floated around by Kendal.
Now that Minnesota’s SQL Saturday is complete, we have a few left over shirts that I’ll likely try and bring out there.
The fashion doesn’t have to end on Tuesday, I’ll probably be celebrating and wearing SQL Saturday shirts every day. Mainly because I have a few of them from the past year. But also because I am such a trend setter.
